Nub Tshona Pata Trek offers a rare chance to explore the least trekked places combined with some of the most popular sightseeing attractions in Bhutan. The journey to Nub Tshona Pata takes you to the calming silence of high mountains of the western Bhutan in Haa region. It offers stunning views of the pristine forest and sacred lakes.
The journey continues to the most popular valleys of Thimphu and Paro including the most iconic spot of Tiger’s Nest Monastery.

Day 01: Arrive At Paro
Discover the great Himalayan peaks as you fly into Paro Airport. On arrival, you will be received by your private guide with a traditional white scarf of auspiciousness and escort you for sightseeing.
Traverse the traditional wooden cantilever bridge to reach Paro Rinpung Dzong or the fortress on Heap of Jewels and explore the astonishing architecture and paintings before visiting the National Museum to discover the artifacts dating back to 4000 BCE. The National Museum or the Ta Dzong served as a watchtower to protect the Paro Dzong in the olden days.
Later take a leisure hike to the ancient Zuri Dzong. The trail offers enchanting view of the verdant Paro valley, Paro Dzong and the Ta Dzong.

Day 02: Excursion To Haa Valley Via Chele La Pass With A Visit To The Secluded Kila Nunnery
Drive to Chele La Mountain Pass, one of the highest road points in Bhutan at 3,988 meters. It offers a breathtaking view of Haa Valley on one side and snowcapped Himalayan peaks like Jomolhari (7326meters) & Jichu Drake (6,714meters) on the other. The trail which goes down the pass introduces us to the lush valley, spruce, pine, primula, and Rhododendron forest and we can also get a good view of Paro Valley. However, if we hike through the trail going upwards from the pas, then we can even hunt for Blue Poppy, the rare & National flower of Bhutan.
If lucky we can also come across beautiful and exotic bird species like Himalayan Monal and Kalij Pheasant.
Close to Chele La Pass is the secluded Kila Goemba which means monastery on a Peaceful Mountain. This is a visually splendid nunnery located high on a cliff edge offering amazing view of the valley and clouds floating below. We can drive to the nunnery and capture astonishing sceneries and incredible construction or take three hours hike through the pristine forest of Rhododendron from Chele La pass to Kila Goemba.

Day 03: Haa To Womji (Trek Begins)
The trek begins with a walk through the untamed forest of conifer and rhododendron before reaching Tale La Pass at 3,780 meters above sea level. Continue to Tshojo where you can see the camp of yak herder- ascend further to Gochu La Pass at 4,200 meters. Following the trail takes you to our camp at Womji 2,870 meters.

Day 04: Womji To Tshona Pata
A steep climb through the forest of juniper and rhododendron will take you to Goche La Pass at 4,350 meters offering magnificent view of the mountain ranges. A walk though the yak herders’ camps before reaching Tshejalum gives you the opportunity to traverse the floor covering wild flowers during the spring season. Continue towards Tsheja La pass crossing the ancient trade route from Haa to Tibet.

Day 05: Rest At Tshona Pata
Spend a relaxing day by exploring the area around the pristine lake; you will also be able to see golden trouts. Take in the serene silence of the mountains and later you can visit pay a visit to the yak herders camp and experience nomads life.
Overnight: Camp at Tshona Pata (3,750 Meters)
Day 06: Tshona Pata To Tshojo
Retrace your way back till Goche La pass and from there walk over the ridge to Tshojo Lake situated at 3,780 meters. Descend to Tshojo camp in a yak pasture.
Trekking Distance: 8Kms (4-5 Hours)
Overnight: Camp at Tshojo (4,010 Meters)
Day 07: Tshojo To Haa
Gradually descend through the forest of juniper and rhododendron until you reach Tali La Pass. Enter Haa valley after the pass. You vehicle will pick you up and drive you to your accommodation in Haa.
Today you have the option of staying in a traditional Bhutanese home stay with local family or relax on your own in a hotel.

Day 08: Explore Haa Valley And Journey To Paro
Dedicate the day to explore the pristine forests and tranquil mountains of Haa valley. Much of Haa is untouched by modernization thus offering our explorers the chance to experience authentic Bhutanese villages in its raw and rugged natural beauty.
Today you can either engage in the daily activities of the Homestay like cooking Bhutanese dish, preparing butter tea, milking cow or relax by taking a traditional herbal hot stone bath.
OR
You can take an optional 45 minutes walk through a medieval village to the secluded Jungney Dra built marvelously at the edge of cliff. This will also give you an opportunity to observe medieval village life.
Later visit the ancient white and black and learn about the tales and myths connected to the construction of the two temples.
Later drive to Thimphu via the Chuzom, the river confluence of Thimphu and Paro.

Day 09: Explore Thimphu
- Catch the vibrant Buddha Dordenma statue at Kuenselphodrang from where you can get an aerial view of the Thimphu city.
- Visit the Bhutan Postal Museum where you can get your own picture on a Bhutanese stamp.
- Visit the painting school or the National Institute of Zorig Chusum where students undergo 4 to 6 years training in the 13 Arts and Crafts of Bhutan.
- Visit the Folk Heritage Museum and have a grand Bhutanese meal at the Folk heritage restaurant.
- Visit the exquisite massive structure of Thimphu Tashichoe Dzong- a fine example of Bhutanese architecture. Set into the Grand Kuenrey, the most splendid room of the Tashichoe Dzong. The assembly of monks performs their daily prayers here before the enormous statue of the Buddha.
- Visit the local archery ground where the locals celebrate the national sport with dance and song with every hit.

Day 10: Tiger’s Nest Hike
Get your energy up at breakfast this morning to hike up to the iconic Taktsang Monastery. Venture through the pristine surroundings of the Tiger’s Nest monastery. Be rewarded to an overwhelming sight monastery resting on edge of a cliff at 900 meters above Paro valley.
Tiger’s Nest Monastery or Taktsang Goemba is one of the holiest and the most beautiful sites of Bhutan and acquires its name from the legend of its foundation, when in the 8th Century Guru Rinpoche, widely revered as the second Buddha, arrived at this place from Tibet flying across the mountains on the back of a tigress and blessed the entire place.
