MARANG JUNGLE CAMP IN PANBANG, ZHEMGANG

The Marangdut Jungle Camp is Bhutan’s first true jungle camp located near the sub-tropical forests of Royal Manas National Park. Situated next to the Marangdut tributary of the Drangme River, it comprises eight tented camps with comfortable and spacious individual tents for sleeping, modern bathroom and shower facilities, and a common dining area. All the structures are covered with thatched roof made in the traditional Khengpa style. The nearby forests and stream provide ample opportunities for a pleasant hike or a cool dip in the water. It is also a birder’s paradise. When in season, the kitchen staff will be most happy to make traditional delicacies out of local resources such as wild banana flowers, bamboo shoots and edible orchids and ferns.

OFF BEATEN TALAKHA CAMP, THIMPHU

Camping in Bhutan is a unique experience. It will offer you the combination of natural discovery and moments of adventure and Thrill. You will not see the gist of Bhutan unless you try out a night camping. Talakha Camp is one of the most unexplored camping sites in Bhutan. It requires one night camping but treats you with epic view of the Himalayas. You need to endure a walk of about 4-5 hours from Talakha Lhakhang to enjoy the camping site. Along the trail you will come across the highlanders of Bhutan and see their unique culture. The bulky yaks grazing in the wild pasture, open sky surrounded by giant mountains is a rare and visually splendid sight to capture.

BUMDRA LUXURY CAMP WITH HIKE, PARO

Situated 3800 meters on the mountain top of Paro valley, Bumdra is a scenically splendid paradise high above the clouds. It takes about 4-6 hours uphill walk from Sangchen Choekor Buddhist monastery. The camp provides proper bedding and pillows in dome tents, there are also bathroom tents and shower tents set. The view from the top is overwhelmingly beautiful with snowcapped mountains and clouds floating beneath your feet, the place is simply magical. The beauty of Bumdra is best experienced as words can only provide an insignificant understanding of its vistas. The next day is a walk down to the famous Tiger’s Nest Monastery; you can visit some of the sacred temples that many don’t see above the Tiger’s Nest. This will provide you a whole new experience.
